Business Development Support Specialist Location Remote in Bellevue, NE : Summary:
Job Title: Business Development Support Specialist I, II, III, IV or V Department: Flatwater Inc. Reports to: Business Development Director Status: Exempt Location : Remote Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Support Specialist to join Flatwater, a subsidiary of Ho-Chunk Inc. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in building and maintaining relationships with clients, vendors, and partners. This individual should have a strong background in office furniture sales support, vendor and contract management, and a solid understanding of federal contracting processes. The Business Development Support Specialist will be responsible for supporting multiple projects and opportunities concurrently. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. - Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and partners in the furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) industry.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless flow of communication and information between clients and the organization.
- Operate in a sales support function within the office furniture sector.
- Develop and manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely and successful execution.
- Oversee vendor relationships, negotiations, and contracts to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
- Manage contract lifecycles, including renewal and renegotiation processes.
- Leverage a deep understanding of office furniture products and trends to advise clients and make strategic recommendations.
- Stay abreast of industry developments and incorporate this knowledge into business development strategies.
- Demonstrate expertise in government contracting processes, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Navigate and successfully execute contracts with government agencies.
Experience - Minimum of 5 years of experience in office furniture sales support.
- Proven track record in federal contracting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent sales, negotiation, and contract management abilities.
- Project management experience preferred.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment This job operates remotely. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Travel Travel is required during the business day, out-of-area and overnight travel to be expected 25% of the time. Education Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Project Management, Interior Design, or related field from a four-year accredited college or university, preferred but not required. OR Experience in sales, customer service, project management, interior design, and working with government contracts may be substituted for education requirements.
